The apple season ends soon

Situation on the market of apples becomes complicated. Due to high prices there is a little demand for apples. Russian receivers consider prices of Polish apples to be too high. Bigger and bigger problems with sale cause that exporters withdraw apples from sale. Such situation may be the reason of orchardists problems with selling the stock. Current prices are good for producers which have been storing fruits in chambers. However the question is will they find purchasers?

Prices are too high for our receivers. We have problems with selling apples and this is why we finish season – says the representative of export company from the region of Grójec (mazowieckie province).

Current situation makes many companies decide to end the season. Groups of producers also buy less apples and start selling stock from own chambers.

Some firms are going to wait to the next week. If the situation won’t improve next companies will finish the season.
