The end of the season for industrial plums

This year twice higher harvests of plums (104 thousand t according to GUS) than in 2007 had to result in the decline in prices of these fruits.

The average price of plums bought for freezing was 0.23 EUR/kg. However at the end of September, when the supply of plums lowered prices exceeded 0.28 EUR and at the beginning of October they reached 0.54 EUR/kg. This year's average purchase price of plums delivered to the plants was lower by about 0.11 EUR/kg than last year.
