This year apple crops - contradictory signals

There are information that this year crops of apples shall be at level of previous years average (excluding very poor last year).

On the other hand fruit growers put attention at unfavourable factors, which may influence this year crops. Above all they mention rainy spring with cold nights and affection of apple trees by scab. In Mazowsze region even the trees which are resistant to the scab are affected. It might mean that more apples will be delivered to processing plants.
