Very low profitability of apples production

According to the newest data from IERiGŻ-PIB this year profitability of apples production will be dramatically low.

Forecast shows that the index of production profitability (producer price/total cost of production x 100%) will be at level of 53 % what means that prices obtained by producers won't cover the production costs in 47 %. So far the lowest profitability of apples production was noted in 2004 and then index of profitability amounted to 59 %.
