Last week prices of apples slightly increased, mainly in the producing area near Grójec. The purchase price of Idared from CA was 0.60-0.70 PLN (0.16-0.18 €)/kg for apples 70 +. Near Lublin the prices were similar. In the producing area near Sandomierz Idared from ordinary storage and cold storage were still being purchased at price 0.40 – 0.45 PLN (0.10-0.12 €)/kg and 0.60 PLN (0.16 €)/kg respectively.
In producing areas near Grójec and Sandmierz prices of red apples Jonagored, Gloster, Shampion, Elise, Alwa from CA were as follows: 0.60 -0.70 PLN (0.16-0.18 €)/kg for apples 70+, 0.70-0.80 PLN 0.18-0.21 €)/kg for apples 75+ and 0.80 do 1.00 PLN (0.21-0.26 €)/kg for apples 80+.
In producing area near Sandomierz one could observe lower demand for apples. Red apples mainly Jonagored, were being purchased in small quantities. The price of apples size 70 + was 0.40-0.60 PLN (0.10-0.16 €)/kg depending on the way of storage.
Last week one could see bigger demand for Golden Delicious and as a result some companies increased the purchase price of these apples. Most companies paid 1.00-1.20 PLN (0.26-0.31 €)/kg for Golden Delicious from CA and ULO, but in some places the price reached even 1.50 PLN (0.39 €)/kg.
The price of Mutsu was relatively high – 1.50 PLN (0.39 €)/kg for apples 70 +.
Gala was also in big demand and the price of these apples was 1.00-1.20 PLN (0.26-0.31 €)/kg for apples 65+ or 70+.
Pears were bought in small quantities only for domestic market and their price had been stable for a long time. In the area of Grójec the producer price of Conference and Lucas was 1.40 - 1.50 PLN (0.36-0.38 €)/kg for pears 60 + and 70 +. In the area of Sandomierz price for Conference, 65 + ranged from 1.50 to 1.70 PLN (0.38-0.44 €)/kg.
The price of industrial apples did not changed. In purchasing companies the price was from 0.12 to 0.15 PLN (0.03-0.038 €)/kg and in processing plants from 0.16 to 0.20 (0.04-0.05 €)/kg depending on the region.
