Last week purchase prices of apples was stable at the low level. In the production area near Grójec the price of Idared 70 + was 0.60 PLN (0.145 €)/kg and in some trading companies the purchase price was even lower - 0.50 PLN (0.12 €/kg. The prices of red varieties apples were as follows: 0.60-0.70 PLN (0.145-0.17 €)/kg for apples 70 + and 0.70-0.80 PLN (0.17-0.19 €)/kg for apples 75+ and 80+. In the production area near Sandomierz the purchase prices of Idared and red varieties were similar. The price of apples size 70+ was 0.60 PLN (0.145 €)/kg for Idared and 0.60-0.70 PLN (0.145-0.17 €)/kg for red varieties.
The price of Golden Delicious was stable from 1.20 to 1.40 PLN (0.29-0.34 €)/kg for apples 70+ from CA. The price of Gala also remained stable. Their price was from 1.00 to 1.10 PLN (0.24-0.27 €)/kg for apples size 65 + and from 1.20 to 1.40 PLN (0.29-0.34 €)/kg for apples size 70 +.
The prices of industrial apples also remained stable. Their price in purchasing centers was from 0.19 to 0.21 PLN (0.046-0.05 €)/kg depending on the region. The price of apples just delivered to processing plants was from 0.24 to 0.26 PLN (0.058-0.063 €)/kg.
The price of strawberries Honeoye decreased on average by 60 % and at he the end of last week the price of good quality fruit was from 4.00 to 5.00 PLN (0.97-1.21 €)/kg. The price of smaller strawberries was from 2.00 to 2.50 PLN (0.48-0.61 €)/kg.
First domestic cherries appeared on the market last week. The were sold only on the local market and their quality was poor. The price of so called May cherries was from 4.00 to 5.00 PLN (0.97-1.21 €)/kg. The price of cherries of Rivan variety was about 12.00 PLN (2.91 €)/kg.
Prices of some imported fruit slightly increased e.g. price of oranges from Spain grew to 4.30 PLN (1.04 €)/kg. Bigger increase in prices was noted for mandarins – to 6.50 PLN (1.58 €)/kg. Prices of Spanish lemons increased to 5.00 – 5.50 PLN (1.21-1.33 €)/kg. The price of lemons from Argentina decreased from 5.50 (1.33 €) to 5.00 PLN (1.21 €)/kg.
Price of bananas imported from Ecuador remained stable. The price of Chiquita bananas was abort 4.33 PLN (1.05 €)/kg and the price of Dole bananas was abort 4.00 PLN (0.97 €)/kg. Price of bananas of less known brand was about 3.78 PLN (0.92 €)/kg.
The table grapes Red Globe imported from Chile have been sold at stable price from 60 (14.56 €) to 62 PLN (15.05 €) per 8.2 kg for a long time.
