What crops of currants in 2008?

Weather conditions are not favourable for currants. According to growers this year crops probably will not better than last year crops which were rather bad.

Producers are saying that there is a great interest in currants on the domestic market and in some regions of Poland processing plants already want to sign contracts for deliveries of these fruits. Moreover foreign countries are signalling a great interest in the Polish currants. It is difficult at the moment to forecast purchase prices, although producers seem to be interested in price above 1.19 EUR/kg.
