Wholesale prices of imported courgettes remain relatively high in Poland.

However, consumers still have to take into account the fact that the prices of this vegetable in supermarkets will be high. It is cheaper, but it is certainly not cheap. Current prices are still significantly higher than in the same period last year.

Sales prices in trade on a larger scale currently amount to 1,86  - 2,09 EUR/kg of courgettes in a carton. It gives an average of 1,98 EUR/kg, 54.5 per cent higher than in the previous year. At that time it amounted to 1,28 EUR/kg, and the prices of courgettes were in a dynamic downward trend. It resulted in an average price of 1,05 EUR/kg at the beginning of December 2017.
