Will casual labour from Ukraine come to Poland?

Last season for picking strawberries Polish producers paid 0.30 – 0.44 EUR/chip basket. On the well cultivated plantation, working 10-12 hours a day worker could get even 53 EUR. In Ukraine labours were paid 15 EUR by day.

What will be the situation this year? Will casual labour come to Poland? Presently getting visa is a big problem – visa lines are huge. Other question is work in Poland will be profitable for Ukrainians. This year producers forecast increase of earnings to 0,60 EUR/chip basket. Will it be enough? According to BBC Great Britain introduced limits on work permissions for Ukrainians and White Russians, counting on Bulgarians and Rumanians.
