Poland: prices of pears up by 25% month-on-month at Bronisze Wholesale Market

For the present, pears are offered at 1.10-1.15 euro/kg, an increase of 7-10% week-on-week. Compared with the previous month, pears became more than a quarter more expensive. For comparison, in early March 2014, pears were sold at 0.88 euro/kg.

The pear price growth is connected with a seasonal decrease in supply together with stably high demand for pears in Poland.
