British-Polish Agrifood Forum
2011-01-11 00:00
The fourth British-Polish Agrifood Forum takes place on 17 March at the Hotel Hrabski, Falenty near Warsaw. The Forum offers the rare opportunity to meet and share experiences and expertise with senior managers representing suppliers, retailers, producers, logistics and marketing companies as well as others connected with the food and drinks sector.
The Forum will concentrate on cooperation between the UK and Poland with a focus on the dissemination of global best practice. There will be a strong emphasis on case studies, presented by speakers in a manner designed to encourage dialogue and interaction. A key theme will be how increase the value of companies and brands from the point of view of investors and financial markets, through the improvement of production processes and HR management. There will be sessions dedicated to marketing, branding and packaging, consumer preferences and cultural differences, environmental best practice and organic produce, logistics for export and ‘Lean’ as a corporate philosophy. The so-called ‘Lean Journey’ – continuous, bottom-up improvement driven by employee participation, will be demonstrated in a series of practical case studies from global companies. The main challenges facing the agrifood sector will be discussed in depth.
The organisers are expecting around 100 decision makers representing companies associated with the agrifood sector, who together with the speakers will have the opportunity to learn what actions can be taken to increase the value of their company, their brand and how to enter new export markets.
The Forum is a chance to make valuable new contacts – both potential partners and business advisers, and to learn about global best practice in a wide range of areas connected with the agrifood sector.
Organisers:
Trusted Adviser Group and British Polish Chamber of Commerce.
