Caned strawberries

Apart from deep-frozen and cooled strawberries Poland also exports canned strawberries. From 2003 till 2007 sales of these products increased over three times.

According to data of CAAC - in 2007 the export of canned strawberries in cans amounted to 9 thousand tons, and their price was 1.26 EUR/kg. Since January till April this year sales amounted to 2.3 thousand tons and was about 700 t lower than in the same period last year but the export price was higher by 0,20 EUR/kg. About 40% of canned strawberries are delivered to Germany.
