Central Poland - potato price increases have slowed down.

The increase in potato prices (with breaks) since the beginning of the last decade of October has resulted in more goods entering the market. A larger number of producers decided to sell potatoes from their stocks, recognizing that the prices are already high enough.

This increase in current supply, which overlapped with stable demand, resulted in the fact that potato prices in large wholesalers again interrupted their upward trend. The question is, for how long this time? This is a temporary break and that the trend will return - this is what the majority of producers are convinced of, because in Europe and the whole season until spring 2019, there are still far too few potatoes.

Prices of potatoes in a large wholesale in the following regions of Poland : Łódzki, Wielkopolski and Kujawsko-Pomorski were as follows:

Łódzkie region:

- Near Sieradz - yellow and red potatoes 2,55 - 2,79 EUR/ bag 15 kg,

- Around Błaszki - yellow and red potatoes 2,55 - 2,79 EUR/ bag 15 kg,

- Near Warta - yellow and red potatoes 2,55 - 2,80 EUR / bag 15 kg,

- Wieluń area - yellow potatoes 2,80 - 2,90 EUR/ bag15 kg,

- Around Łódź - 2,80 - 3,15 EUR/bag 15 kg, on the "Zjazdowa" wholesale market- 2,80 - 3,72 EUR/bag 15 kg,

- white potatoes Irga 2,80 EUR /bag 15 kg.

Wielkopolski region:

- around Kalisz - 2,80 - 2,90 EUR/ bag 15 kg, on the wholesale markets 2,80 EUR/ sack 15 kg,

- Near Poznań - 2,90 - 3,25 EUR/bag 15 kg, on the WGRO exchange - 2,80- 3,50 EUR/bag 15 kg,
