It seems that this season prices of raspberries will be quite good. In chile crops of raspberries are at 15 - 30% lower than year ago. Poor weather in Serbia also influenced the volume of production but final results will be known soon.
In Poland weather also isn't good for ripening fruits. What is more producers have problems with grey mould and insects.
We can expect that such conditions will have an influence on prices of raspberries. Currently purchase points are offering PLN 5,00 - 6,00 per kg of fruits for processing. Now raspberries aren't divided into quality classes. Despite that current prices are at twice higher than year ago.
Prices of dessert raspberries offered by producers are extremely high - PLN 5,00 - 7,00 per 250g (PLN 20,00 - 28,00 / kg).
