Decrease in prices of greenhouse cucumbers

In the current week price of greenhouse cucumbers started decreasing. On Tuesday, October 7th the average prices of long cucumbers was 1.16 – 1.30 EUR/kg and the price of short cucumbers was 1.30 – 1.45 EUR/kg.

It is considerable fall in comparison with prices of last week. On the Polish market some volumes of imported cucumbers have already appeared but so far the quantities are small. But in the near future increase in volumes of imported cucumbers is expected and in consequence the prices of these cucumbers will influence the prices of domestic cucumbers.
