Decrease in prices of leeks

Prices of leeks imported from France, Belgium and Holland has decreased by about 30 % recently from 40-50 PLN (10.31-12.89 euro)/10 kg to 35-38 PLN (9.02-9.79 euro)/10 kg. Such price’s level influence strongly import of Turkish leeks. They are however cheaper (3.00 PLN (0.77 euro)/kg) but the difference is not big and additionally the quality of leeks from Western countries is much better. Decrease in prices of leeks also resulted in fell in price of domestic leeks. Their price is 2.00 – 2.50 PLN (0.51-0.64 euro)/kg at the moment.
