Early potatoes are getting cheaper

On the market there are still mostly imported vegetables. Season for domestic ones has already started and their supply is very low. However during last days it rose much enough to cause that prices of Polish early potatoes decreased as well as import prices.

Of course price levels of imported Polish vegetables are still completely different. On Thursday prices of potatoes imported from Cyprus and Greece were at the level of 2.20 PLN/ kg. Domestic ones cost 8.00 – 10.00 PLN/kg. Such huge difference may cause that some distributors will substitute vegetables and imported will sell as domestic. It is obvious who will lose.
