End of black currants recession?

During three years period (2004 - 2006) production of black currants picked by combine harvester was unprofitable.

Biggest recession was in 2004 when production costs (0.37 EUR/kg or 2603 EUR/ha, average crops 7 t/ha) were over three times higher than prices obtained by producers (0.1 EUR/kg). Situation changed in 2007 when profitability was very high. Prices obtained by producers reached 1.18 EUR/kg and total production costs were 0.53 EUR/kg or 2648 EUR/ha at crops 5 t/ha.
