End of season for Polish sweet pepper

Season for domestic sweet pepper is slowly ending. The weather in current season was exceptionally unfavourable for many vegetables. The supply of sweet pepper was lower than usual and its price was relatively high. At the moment the supply of this vegetable is really low and trading companies cannot collect sufficient quantity of the product. As compared to last week prices of sweet pepper slightly increased.

On Monday, October 4, price of red pepper was 4.00-4.20 PLN (1.00-1.06 euro)/kg, price of green pepper was 2.50-2.60 PLN (0.63-0.66 euro)/kg and price of white pepper was 3.00 PLN (0.76 euro)/kg. The supply of sweet pepper for processing is also lower and its price was 2.30 PL (0.58 euro)/kg for red and 1.60-1.70 PLN (0.40-0.43 euro)/kg for green.
