Tomatoes from Turkey have been relatively cheap recently but now their price is growing due to declining supply. One can expect further increase until the new shipments come to Poland.
On Thursday, March 25 the price of Turkish tomatoes, size G and of the good quality was 35 PLN carton 6 kg, while the last week the price was 28 - 29 PLN (7.20-7.45 €)/carton. On the contrary the price of Polish tomatoes was in further downward trend due to increasing supply. domestic. Over the last 10 days the wholesale price of tomatoes dropped from BB 100 PLN (25.71 €)/carton 6 kg to 60 PLN (15.42 €)/carton.
