High prices of onion

We have already written about problems with quality of onion in this season what influence prices of this vegetable. At the moment prices of onion are high and they will probably grow in the course of season. The highest prices of onion at the level 1.00-1.20 PLN (0.25-0.30 euro)/kg are in surroundings of Warsaw. In the areas affected by flood onion is also expensive. In małopolskie province and near Sandomierz price is 1.20 PLN (0.30 euro)/kg. In other regions of Poland price of onion is 0.90-1.00 PLN (0.22-0.25 euro)/kg. Generally one can observe upward trend in prices of onion.
