Import of juices

According to forecasts of IERiGŻ-PIB in season 2008/2009 import of concentrated juices and juices will reduce to 85 thousand t i.e. it will be by about 34 thousand t lower than in the previous season.

This is caused by the fact that in the previous season Poland imported much apple concentrate because of very low apple crops in 2007. In this season the production of apple concentrate will increase to 215 thousand t against 140 thousand t in season 2007/2008. Therefore the import of apple juice concentrate will reduce to about 10 thousand t (in the previous season 4.7 times more). In season 2008/2009 import of orange juice (the most important in the total import of juices) will be at the level of the previous season and it will amount to 40 thousand t.
