Import of watermelons

In 2007 Poland bought 92.8 thousand ton of watermelons valued at 22.8 million EUR. Hungary was the largest supplier (35 %) of watermelons, then Italy (22 %) and Greece (10 %).

This year since January to April the purchase of watermelons amounted to 3.4 thousand ton valued at 1.9 million EUR. In the corresponding period 2007 about 400 ton of watermelons less was purchased, but value of the import was higher by 150 thousand EUR.
