Import of watermelons in 2008

Between January and November import of watermelons amounted to 98.4 thousand t at value 25.9 mln euro.

Import of watermelons increased by 6 % and its value by 14 % in comparison with the same period of 2007. The biggest amount was imported in July – 34.2 thousand t, in August - 24.9 thousand t and in June – 20.2 thousand t.
