Increase in prices of greenhouse cucumbers

Prices of greenhouse cucumbers increased again. It was caused by lower supply due to adverse weather last week (much rain). On Monday, August 2, cucumbers went up mainly on the wholesale market in Bronisze near Warsaw, when prices of short cucumbers increased from 1.30-1.50 PLN (0.33-0.37 €)/kg to 2.00-2.50 PLN (0.50-0.63 €)/kg.  In świętokrzyskie and małopolskie provinces (south of Poland) prices were from 2.00 PLN (0.50 €)/kg. However one could still buy cucumbers at price 1.20-1.50 PLN (0.30-0.37 €)/kg.
