Increase in prices of Polish cucumbers

One could observe the increase in domestic prices of greenhouse cucumbers already last week. On Tuesday, March 30 it was clear that this upward trend did not finished. Prices of short cucumbers increased to 6.50 – 7.00 PLN (1.67-1.80 €)/kg and prices pf long cucumbers to 6.00 - 6.50 PLN (1.55-1.67 €)/kg. As in the case of tomatoes, imported cucumbers almost disappeared from the marke but the supply of Polish cucumbers is still not enough what resulted in price increase.
