Industrial apples: prices the lowest on record

In many purchasing centres the price of industrial apples dropped to 0.022 EUR/kg. In spite of such low price a lot of growers sell apples and some of processing plants already stopped the purchase of the raw material.

Processors are explaining that apple juice concentrate is very cheap at the present time (700 euro/ton ) and stocks of last year's concentrate are still high and demand for concentre is low. Additionally the plants have not enough space for storing this year's concentrate.

The Association of Polish Fruit Growers think that processing plants didn't fulfil the agreement guaranteeing the price 0.08 EUR/kg until the end of September and the association announced that the blockades of plants were possible again.
