What is interesting, there are even companies and groups looking for plums for export, offering for them within the range of 0,28 – 0,30 EUR per kilogram. Fruits in the large wholesale trade must, however, be of appropriate quality - in caliber 35+, with a bloom and, above all, very firm, preferably from the conditions of the controlled atmosphere of the President variety.

On the wholesale markets, plums are also traded in the best, but here the quality of fruit is much more varied, but also the variety offer is richer. You can still buy Hungarian prunes Ordinary, but a bit of poor quality, some offer Miszaniec, called Amers, but most of the offer are President plums, which are best suited for  the long  shelf life. Prices for them are quite varied, i.e. for larger plums such as the President, as well as for plums of the Hungarian type you have to pay from 0,40 EUR to as much as 0,70 EUR per kilogram, depending on the quality of the fruit and the amount offered.
