Less and less of domestic sweet peppers

On Monday, September 29th prices of domestic red sweet peppers stayed at the level of 1.00 – 1.06 EUR/kg of sorted peppers in cardboard boxes of 5 kg. Prices of green sweet peppers slightly decreased to 0.62 – 0.68 EUR/kg. But prices probably won’t be lower.

The season of domestic sweet peppers is slowly ending. If an improvement in the weather conditions stays longer, the sweet peppers which ripening recently proceeded more slowly will appear on the market. Monday prices of sweet peppers imported from the Netherlands stayed at the level of 1.25 – 1.27 EUR/kg. Probably within one month imported sweet peppers will replace completely the domestic ones.
