More processed fruit

According to forecast prepared by IERiGŻ-PIB in the season 2008/2009 production of processed fruit may increase to 935 thousand tons i.e. by 30 % more than in previous season. The biggest increase is expected for fruit juices concentrates (to 285 thousand tons), mainly apple juice concentrate (to 230 thousand tons).

Production of deep-frozen fruit may increase to 375 thousand tons while in previous season it was 280 thousand tons. Production of compotes and pasteurized fruit may increase by 5 thousand to 21 thousand tons and production of marmalades, jams, pastes and homogenized preparations may increase by 6 thousand tons to 86 thousand tons. Production of dried fruit will probably stay at the same level (4 thousand tons).
