Offer for citrus fruits is getting poorer

It is possible to find remains of poor quality oranges in retail chains, however import of these fruits has finished.

The supply of citrus fruits was much lower recently. Importers don’t have citrus fruits from Spain in offer at all. Fruits from Africa and Argentina are in very small volume. Mainly available citrus fruits are grapefruits and lemons which are much more expensive than Spanish ones offered in season.

Lemons from South Africa cost from 99.00 – 95.00 PLN/ 15 kg (6.00 – 6.33 PLN/ kg). These from Argentina are being offered by importers at the price 110.00 – 120.00 PLN/ 18 kg (6.11 – 6.67 PLN/ kg) depending on seller.

There are no grapefruits from Israel on the market. These from South Africa which have recently arisen cost 80.00 – 85.00 PLN/ 17 kg (4.71 – 5.00 PLN/ kg).
