Poland: export of frozen gooseberry in 2008

According to data from Analytical Centre of Customs Administration in 2008 Poland exported 3 700 tons of frozen gooseberry at value 4.9 million euro. The volume of export was by 11 % higher than in 2007 and the value increased by 34 %.
Germany - the main importer of Polish frozen gooseberry – bought 2 000 tons i.e. by 27 % more than in 2007. However the export to the second biggest recipient – Great Britain - was lower by 29% and amounted to 500 tons. The average price of frozen gooseberry between July and December was 1.33 euro/kg and was similar to the price of the same period 2007.
