Poland: increase in prices of carrot at the end of the season

At the end of the season the price of last year carrot are increasing. This week in southern Poland (małopolskie province) the purchase price of carrot was 2.80 PLN (0.62 euro)/kg i.e. by 0.30 euro (0.07 euro)/kg more than last week.

In podkarpackie province the price increased from 1.20 - 1.50 PLN (0.27-0.33 euro)/kg to 1.40 - 2.20 PLN (0.31-0.49 euro)/kg. 2.20 PLN/kg is the price for washed carrot. The purchase price in łódzkie province didn't change and was 2 PLN (0.45 euro)/kg. Last year in corresponding period the average purchase price of carrot was 1.35 PLN (0.30 euro)/kg.
