Poland: lower export of fresh cucumbers

According to Polish Analytical Centre of Customs Administration, between January and August 2009 Poland exported 8,6 thousand t of fresh cucumbers while in corresponding months 2008 the export amounted to 13,2 thousand t.

However the export value in 2009 (7,3 million euro) was almost the same what last year (7,4 million euro). In august 2009 the export of fresh cucumbers amounted to 1,3 thousand t at value 700 thousand euro and was much lower than in August 2008 (5,4 thousand t, 2,7 million euro).
