Prices of domestic cucumbers are decreasing

On the Polish market there are already available bigger volumes of domestic cucumbers and their purchase prices are decreasing together with growing supply.

In central Poland at the beginning of the week the purchase price was about 11 PLN (2.24 euro)/kg, while in the middle of the week price decreased to 8 PLN (1.63 euro)/kg. At the same time in podkarpackie province the purchase price of cucumbers were still higher - at the level 11 - 12 PLN (2.24-2.45 euro)/kg. On the wholesale markets there are a lot of cucumbers imported from Spain, Netherlands and even Turkey. The prices of imported cucumbers are still lower than domestic ones. The price of Dutch and Turkish cucumbers is 5-6 PLN (1.02-1.22 euro)/kg and price of Spanish ones is 7-8 PLN (1.43-1.63 euro)/kg.
