Prices of onion slightly down

Although estimates for this year’s harvests of onion show that the crops will be lower than last year's even by about 20 % (and lower by 14 % than average of years 2001 - 2005) prices of onion stayed for a long time stable at the low level and recently the prices even a little bit have decreased.

On Monday, 24th November in the central part of Poland the purchase price of onion was below 0.09 euro/kg. On the wholesale market one can buy the sorted onion at price 0.09 euro/kg.
