Stable price of leeks

After the decrease in the second decade of September prices of leeks are stabilizing. On Thursday, September 18th price of leeks, cut by machine, packed in cardboard box was 0.36 EUR/kg.

The price of leeks in bunches was 0.18 - 0.21 EUR/piece. An average price of leeks in the big wholesale trade remains higher (on Wednesday price was 0.47 EUR/kg). High prices of leeks are a result of supply of leeks of high quality on the market. Their price is fluctuating around 0.59 EUR/kg.
