The supply of Turkish grapefruits on the Polish market is growing?

For some time now, the Polish market has been selling mainly citrus fruits from Spain, but also grapefruits from Turkey, Israel and pomelos from China. Soon (around mid-December), according to the information obtained by importers, the offer of grapefruits should be complemented by Florida fruit, although here you should not count on high supply and attractive prices. 

In the case of grapefruits from Turkey, which have been "having the longest fun" on the Polish market, they are currently offered at prices ranging from EUR 12,79 to EUR 16,28 per 15 kg cardboard box (0,85 EUR- 1,09 EUR per kg gross). Israeli Sweete grapefruits cost from 16,28 EUR to even 21 EUR per 15 kg cardboard (1,09 - 1,40 EUR/kg gross). Pomelo is offered at a price of 11,63- 15,12 EUR for 11 pieces (1,06 - 1,37 EUR/kg gross) - a cardboard box of about 11-12 kg.

In the case of other varieties, the situation has also changed in recent weeks and prices have fallen even further. Spanish mandarins in the last week lost an average of 17% per kilo in price  and cost from only 5,80 EUR to 13,95 EUR per 10 kg cardboard (0,58 - 1,40 EUR/kg gross) depending on the quality and caliber.

The prices of oranges in a small wholesaler, after the reduction from the last week at the level of 8% per kilo, oscillate between 8,84 - 12,80 EUR per 10 kg cardboard box (0,88 - 1,28 EUR/kg gross), depending on the quality and calibre. Oranges in 1 kg bags at prices from 15,35 EUR per 20 kg (0,77 EUR per kg gross) have also appeared on the market.
