Weather adversely influences supply of lettuces

This year’s spring weather adversely influences many vegetables. It also concerns lettuces. Low temperatures and big rainfalls resulted in low supply of lettuces and in consequence relatively high prices.

On Wednesday, June 2 the price of butterhead lettuce was from 30 to 40 PLN (7.30-9.73 €)/16 pcs depending on quality. Polish Iceberg lettuce is also expensive and on Wednesday its price was from 20 to 30 PLN (4.87-7.30 €)/10 pcs.
