Weather influenced prices of tomatoes

There was no real winter this year and this is why production of tomatoes has started earlier. Due to this the supply was increasing very fast. As a consequence of early spring prices were going down.

At the end of first decade of April wholesale prices of tomatoes were much lower than in three seasons before.

The weather in April changes all the time. Now it is cooler what caused slower vegetation of vegetables.

From the beginning of current week we could notice lower supply of tomatoes to the wholesale markets. What is more prices stopped dropping. They are even bit higher. Prices of tomatoes in size B dropped before previous weekend to PLN 5.30 - 6.16 / kg, those in size BB to PLN 6.00 - 6.50 / kg. Currently tomatoes cost PLN 7.00 - 7.33 / kg in size B and PLN 7.33 - 7.66 / kg in size BB.

It is obvious that such price rise is temporary. The question is how much they will decrease.
