Leeks cheap as never before

There are no changes in prices of leeks on the Polish market. It concerns Polish vegetables and imported from Holland and Belgium.

Polish, good quality leeks cost 1.60 - 1.80 PLN/kg. Prices were higher but lower prices of imported vegetables forced producers to reduce price.

Currently prices of leeks from Belgium and Holland have stabilized at the level of 1.90 - 2.10 PLN/kg. Prices of domestic products also stabilized.

However the situation on Dutch and Belgian markets is completely different. At the end of February prices of leeks have dropped to 2.30 - 2.50 EUR/10kg, it's even less than 1.00 PLN/kg. Now they are even lower.

Currently Dutch and Belgian exporters offer leeks at the price of 1.90 - 2.20 EUR/ 10kg (0.80 PLN/kg).

Best quality leeks packed in more expensive bags cost from 2.00 - 3.40 EUR/kg.
