Polish tomatoes still expensive

The amount of tomatoes from Polish glasshouses is small and not enough to satisfy the demand generated by domestic and Russian markets. The difference between limited supply and high demand caused high prices. Russian importers have been buying Polish tomatoes willingly. The Russian demand was so high that the supply on the Polish market was limited before long weekend.

The situation at the end of long weekend in Poland didn’t change. Tomatoes in size B cost 34-37 PLN/ 6 kg. Tomatoes in size BB are being sold at price 40 – 45 PLN/ 6 kg.

The market is expecting higher amount of tomatoes. However it depends on the weather which seems to be cooler.
