Cabbage is waiting for its time

Expectations at the beginning of the season were great.With exports to Romania, prices go up and it seemed that the high expectations from the beginning of the season confirmed quickly and easily.

Unfortunately the situation related to Romania soon ended and cabbage prices have fallen. Since that time they are generally low, though there were slight recovery.

In February, as we mentioned on the website fresh-market, pl, they were was worse than in December and January.

So far, all export fails. Russia didn't need to import for a long time, and now apparently cabbage is bought more from Germany than from Polish. Currently nice cabbage can be purchased for 0.25 zł / kg.

However, this is not the end of the season. There were already years that cabbage prices were moving up very late. If the Russian market will be a place for large numbers of Polish cabbage, prices will start to rise. But it must be hard to fight.
