Polish market overview 12-18.12.2011

Prices of carrot increased to 0.48 PLN (0.107 euro)/kg for brushed product and 0.30-0.45 PLN (0.067-0.10 euro)/kg for washed product.
Price of bananas imported from Ecuador (e.g. Bonita or Favorita) remained stable - 57-64 PLN (12.65-14.20 euro)/box. Prices of bananas Chiquita and Dole did not change - 66-72 PLN (14.76-16.11 euro)/box.
Prices of citrus fruit remained stable. Prices of lemons were following: 34-37 PLN (7.61-8.28 euro)/10 for Spanish and 33-38 PLN (7.38-8.50 euro)/10 kg for Turkish product.
Prices of mandarins imported form Spain remained stable and were following: 34-36 PLN (7.61-8.05 euro)/10 kg for size 4, 35-38 PLN (7.83-8.50 euro)/10 kg for size 3 and 38-40 PLN (8.50-8.95 euro)/10 kg for size 2.
Prices of Spanish oranges were 37-44 PLN (8.28-9.84 euro)/10 kg .
In 50 week producers’ prices of apples intended for export increased by 0.05-0.10 PLN/kg and were following: 0.90-1.00 PLN (0.20-0.22 euro)/kg for 60+/65+, 1.00-1.15 PLN (0.22-0.257 euro)/kg for 70+, 1.10-1.25 PLN (0.25-0.28 euro)/kg for 80+.
Producer prices of Gala were 1.20-1.40 PLN (0.27-0.31 euro)/kg for 65 + and 1.40-1.70 PLN (0.31-0.38 euro)/kg for 70 +. Prices of Gala mutants like Royal, Must or Shniga was 1.80 PLN (0.40 euro)/kg for 70 +.
